The Charities Reporting Awards

Congratulations

Well done to all of the registered charities who put in considerable time and effort with the recent roll out of the new reporting standards.

As with any new legislation, there is a process involved. The implementation of the new mandatory reporting standards for charities which came into effect in the 2016 financial year has been no small task for many of our clients.

To recognise the efforts of registered charities across New Zealand in adopting these new standards, Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ) implemented the inaugural New Zealand Charity Reporting Awards this year.

A winner from each reporting tier was announced at the Charities Services Annual Meeting in Wellington on 2 November 2017.

We would like to convey our congratulations to the following winners from each tier:

Tier 1   Comprehensive Care PHO Limited

Tier 2   Royal New Zealand Ballet

Tier 3   Kiwi Community Assistance Charitable Trust

Tier 4   The Waikato Society of Potters Incorporated

BDO is proud to participate as a sponsor of the Reporting Awards.  We have assisted many charities across the country with their financial reporting transition to the new standards, and made freely available to the public our model PBE financial statements.
