Tim Ward

Tim Ward is the Managing Partner of BDO Invercargill and an experienced business and tax adviser, working with privately owned businesses, business owners and organisations across Southland and New Zealand. 

Tim advises clients on complex business and taxation matters, including governance, insolvency, business valuations and feasibility assessments. He helps clients understand the issues they face, consider their financial and commercial options and make well-informed decisions. 

Alongside his client work, Tim has extensive leadership and governance experience within BDO. He is a member of BDO’s National Board and chaired the Spicer & Oppenheim National Partnership before its merger to form BDO Invercargill. He has also chaired the forum of BDO Managing Partners, giving him a broad perspective on the issues facing professional services firms and privately owned businesses across New Zealand. 

Tim takes a practical and considered approach to advice, drawing on his commercial experience, technical tax expertise and long-standing involvement with businesses and organisations in the Southland community.
