Rosie Jarvis is a Director at BDO Marlborough Tasman who helps privately owned and family businesses, vineyard owners, rural clients and high-net-worth family groups navigate tax, financial and business decisions. She has particular experience in the viticulture, wine and wider agribusiness sectors.
Clients come to Rosie for help with business structuring, tax planning, GST, financial reporting, succession planning, cash flow forecasting and scenario planning. She helps business owners understand their financial position, assess opportunities and challenges, and make informed decisions about the future of their business.
Rosie understands the challenges facing family-owned and rural businesses, including the connections between business ownership, property, succession and family objectives. Her work with vineyard owners, wine businesses and other Marlborough enterprises gives her a practical understanding of the financial and commercial opportunities and pressures affecting the region’s primary industries.
Rosie is actively involved in Marlborough’s wine and business communities. She has been selected as a judge for the Marlborough Young Winemaker of the Year and Marlborough Young Viticulturist of the Year competitions on several occasions. She has also served as a judge for the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards. This involvement gives Rosie exposure to leading businesses, emerging industry talent, and evolving business practices across the region.
