Doug Haines

Doug is an Advisory Partner based in Wellington.  He holds a number of governance roles, including National Chairman of our Board, and Head of Quality which is a role he is incredibly passionate about and has held for over 20 years. Doug has been recognised internationally for his contribution to our network and has been awarded a BDO medal. 

The nature of his client work is varied but includes compiling financial statements, tax returns, management accounts, budgets and cashflows, as well as supporting clients with strategic advice.

With more than 30 years’ experience, Doug has advised some of New Zealand's best-known corporate and mid-market brands across sectors such as technology, retail, education, and food & beverage. He also works closely with not-for-profit organisations, including national and regional sporting organisations, bringing the same care and attention to community organisations as to large corporates.

Outside the office, Doug is a keen sportsperson, who has represented New Zealand at cycling age-group world championships.
