High Court Application

Please note that an interlocutory application was made in the High Court on 25 July 2025 seeking orders as to the validity and / or termination of the deed of company arrangement executed on 30 June 2025 (Application). The applicants are certain shareholders of WCT. The respondents are WCT’s administrators and have filed an opposition to the Application. 

A hearing has been set down for a half day from 10am on 15 September 2025 in the Wellington High Court.

Jessica Jane Kellow and Iain Bruce Shephard, Licensed Insolvency Practitioners of BDO Wellington, were appointed as joint and several administrators (“Administrators”) of the Companies on 24 September 2024.

High Court Applications

Please note that two applications have been made to the High Court:

  1. Under CIV-2025-485-146 - an originating application in which the applicants seek the termination of the administration of Wellington Combined Taxis Limited (administrators appointed) (WCT) and other orders.  The applicants are (and represent a wider group of) shareholders of WCT.  The respondents are WCT’s administrators; and
  2. Under CIV-2024-485-629 - an on notice interlocutory application by WCT’s administrators seeking directions relating to the holding of a watershed meeting in respect of WCT.

Any interested party can ask the administrators to be provided with copies of the documents relating to these applications and, if they so wish, take steps to be heard.

Extensions to convening periods

The Administrators have sought — and been granted — an extension to the convening period in which the watershed meeting of creditors is to be held. In accordance with the direction of the High Court, the Administrators are required to provide a copy of the order of the High Court on BDO’s website.
