Vanessa Rowe

Vanessa Rowe is an Advisory Partner at BDO Wellington and the firm's National Not-for-Profit Sector Leader. She works with not-for-profit and for-profit organisations, particularly larger organisations with complex reporting needs or finance teams managing a wide range of priorities.

Vanessa helps clients prepare clear, high-quality financial reports and navigate New Zealand financial reporting requirements in a practical way. Her work includes monthly management reporting, annual financial statement preparation, budgeting and forecasting, accounting opinions, financial reporting advisory, and one-off projects such as transition support, template improvements and making year-end accounts easier for internal finance teams to prepare.

A key part of Vanessa's work is creating capacity for capable but stretched finance teams. By bringing in external specialist support, organisations can continue progressing important reporting, compliance and strategic projects while still managing day-to-day finance demands.

Vanessa's background includes financial services experience in New Zealand and overseas before returning to BDO Wellington, giving her a practical understanding of complex reporting environments. Her approach is practical, collaborative and down-to-earth, with a focus on turning technical requirements into clear, useful reporting that gives management, boards and stakeholders confidence in the information they rely on.

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
