Executive Summary
Mike Wyeth is a Partner in BDO Invercargill’s Deal Advisory team, providing corporate finance advice to business owners, boards, investors and professional advisers across Southland and throughout New Zealand.
Mike advises clients on important business and financial decisions, including buying or selling a business, assessing an acquisition or investment, raising capital, planning for succession or a change in ownership, understanding what a business is worth and evaluating significant growth opportunities.
His core areas of expertise include business valuations, financial and commercial due diligence, financial modelling, business cases, investment analysis, and mergers and acquisitions. Mike also works closely with lawyers on litigation and dispute matters, including relationship property and economic disparity claims, shareholder and commercial disputes, and other matters requiring independent valuation or financial analysis.
Mike brings experience across corporate finance, investment, venture capital and specialist financial advisory roles. He has worked with businesses, investors and boards across a broad range of sectors and stages of growth.
Mike takes a practical and commercially focused approach, translating complex financial information into clear analysis that helps clients, boards and investors understand value, risk and their available options so they can make well-informed decisions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics) – University of Auckland
- CFA Program – Levels I and II completed (Level III candidate)
