Matt is an Audit and Assurance Partner at BDO Auckland, joining the firm after two decades of experience within a Big Four environment in New Zealand and the UK. A dedicated financial services specialist, Matt has worked with many of the country’s leading retail banks, listed property entities and wealth management firms.

Matt is passionate about delivering high-quality assurance that provides genuine insight. He thrives on solving complex problems and is known for his composed approach when helping clients manage tight deadlines, regulatory requirements and shifting reporting standards.

As a Licensed Auditor, Matt brings deep expertise in FMC audits, controls assurance and regulatory assurance including climate statement assurance. His leadership is defined by a commitment to coaching his teams and fostering strong, transparent relationships with senior executives and boards.
