Kristy Nind

Kristy Nind is a Partner at BDO Invercargill, providing accounting, tax and business advisory services to businesses, organisations and their owners, with a particular focus on agribusiness. 

She advises clients on strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, governance, taxation and funding decisions. She helps clients understand their financial position, assess their options and make well-informed decisions about the future of their business. 

Kristy brings a broad commercial perspective from her experience across professional services, banking and investment management. Before joining BDO Invercargill in 2024, she worked in investment management in the United Kingdom. After returning to New Zealand, she worked in relationship management with a leading agribusiness bank. This experience has given her a strong understanding of funding relationships, financial decision-making and the practical challenges facing farming and rural businesses. 

Based in Western Southland and closely connected to the rural community, Kristy has a genuine affinity with agribusiness and enjoys spending time on-farm. She also has experience working with not-for-profit organisations. Kristy takes a practical and approachable approach, focusing on long-term relationships and understanding the wider objectives behind her clients’ financial decisions.

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) - University of Otago
• Diploma for Graduates (DipGrad) - University of Otago
