Cathy Moorcroft

Cathy Moorcroft was appointed an Associate of BDO Gisborne on 1 July 2025. A qualified Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of extensive technical experience, Cathy brings a wealth of financial knowledge across many business areas including agriculture, audit, commercial enterprises and investments.

Her meticulous, solution-focused approach enables her to proactively support clients and staff through any challenges or issues that may arise. Cathy’s inquisitive nature and commitment to continuous learning have seen her adapt, evolve and thrive in a variety of different roles throughout her career.

Cathy has played an instrumental role in connecting and mentoring staff with the professional and academic pathways that are available to them. She is the epitome of loyalty and service, and was formally recognised in 2023 with a milestone award from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
