Shelley joined BDO in 2015 as a Manager and was promoted to the role of Associate in 2020. After an initial stint in the Tax division, Shelley returned to Business Advisory as it was her background and passion. Experience in both divisions has provided Shelley with all-round appreciation for both the business and tax issues her SME clients face. Along with her team she ensures her clients stay compliant in annual financial statements and tax return preparation, using efficient processes so they can focus on their business and not the administration. Shelley has a special interest in business improvement particularly through the use of cloud-based business information systems.

Outside of work Shelley enjoys everything her home-base in Porirua has to offer – good walks, beaches, kayaking, the café scene, and the local movie theatre with comfy couches and cushions. Of course there’s also a keen interest in travel, and there’s always a good story to tell from her adventures.
