What our programmes look like
Our programmes focus on four key development areas - technical skills, personal effectiveness, consulting skills and business acumen.
A significant part of development at BDO is that most of the firm's professional staff complete the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand's Chartered Accountants' Programme. Our support for postgraduate studies shows our commitment to partnering with staff to develop their professional experience and skills.
If you're just starting out in the world of accountancy, we'll help you build a strong foundation for your technical skills while supporting you to complete the CA programme. Additional training and workshop sessions, coaching and guidance, study leave and financial support for course fees are avaiulable to help you suceed.
Following completion of the programme, the training focus shifts to enhancing clients relationships and developing leadership skills.
Additionally, our International network provides exceptional opportunities to travel, work, learn and play on an international secondment to a BDO office in one of more than 154 countries around the world. Our staff benefit both professionally and personally from these opportunities.
