BDO Wellington to Auckland Corporate Cycle Challenge
For many years BDO was the main sponsor of the BDO Wellington to Auckland Cycle Challenge. A seven day bike challenge split into 12 stages, with each stage covering between 38 and 122 kilometres. Starting from the main street in Lower Hutt and finishing in Pukekohe, the challenge is a fantastic way to see over 800km of New Zealand countryside.
Fantastic prizes were up for grabs for the top three corporate teams. The winners were awarded with a generous donation for the charity of their choice.
- ASB Rural sponsoring St John's
- Fit4Farming sponsoring The Fit3Farming Trust
- Westpac Corporate sponsoring Westpac Rescue Helicopter

The 2016 Wellington to Auckland Cycle Challenge was one of the most highly contested challenges thus far. The weather played a huge part testing each teams abilities with the early stages being absolutely scorching while the mid stages saw the riders experiencing gale force winds and high precipitation. The competitive spirit was not broken with the eventual champions GoBro ASB beating the New Zealand Navy by a narrow margin. Please keep an eye on this page for the official prizegiving ceremony.
Top four places were awarded to:
- GoBro ASB
- NZ Navy
- 2 Degrees
- BDO 1
